Dana E. Sherwin is the CEO/Founder of The Thinking Patient LLC. She launched this consulting company to bring strategies, knowledge and resources to organizations in support of empowering people to be engaged patients.

 

Dana has had a long career serving healthcare organizations in various roles. She holds a Master of Health Services Administration degree from the University of Michigan's School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University. She is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Dana is a volunteer advisor with the Blood and Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials Network, a member of the 2025 Editorial Review Board of The Journal of Patient Experience, and a peer reviewer for the Journal of Healthcare Management.
